##### Naughty Austin's first show - "An Evening Without Joe York" - was an undoubtedly daring event. ##### Held at a small cabaret space called "Later @ Live Oak," the show threatened to bring "Forbidden Broadway" to the pristine Austin Theater scene, and trample 50 theater artists, 50 songs, and more than two dozen shows. ##### As the postcard dared to state - this show would be done with "No Joe York," the current Austin star who seemed to be cast in everything, at every theater, everytime. ##### Blake Yelavich penned the lyrics, Neal Gibson served as Musical Director, Cathie Sheridan was the Choreographer, and Jim Fritzler played the piano. ##### The cast - Blake, Neal, Cathie as well as Dan Sullivan, Lauren Adrian, and Laura Walberg - were undoubtedly nervous of staging such a review. ##### Unlike "Forbidden Broadway" in NYC, where the big "untouchable" stars are the ones who are slammed, this cast would be making fun and impersonating people they would actually have to SEE and work with again. ##### The show was a critical and box-office success and began the reign of campy theater terror which has been enjoyed in Austin since 1997. ##### READ THE REVIEW FROM THE AUSTIN CHRONICLE! ##### ##### Back To The Show Info Page
