Carlos
Funes (writer/director/producer/editor) has
years experience in film/video production. He has worked on a variety
of music videos, commercials and even a state approved defensive
driving video for Texas. Carlos worked as an AD for a TV Pilot for
the Latino Comedy Project, as well as produced and directed a spot
for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas starring Ann Richards. He has won
numerous awards as director of short films and other competitions.
A BIT ABOUT CLASICO
ENTERTAINMENT…
What is Clasico Entertainment?
A film & video production company founded in 2001 by a group
of guys in Austin, TX. But even before then, “Clasico” existed
in an alpha stage in Grapevine, TX. At the time it was known as:
Po’ Budget Productions with projects dating back to 1991.
Who are the members? (in no particular order)
Carlos Funes, Beaux Paris, Dan Dalbout, Nat Paris and Bert Newcomer.
What do you recommend?
Tobey McGraw: America United and Tierra Del Sol seem to be the most
requested movies.
Where have your movies screened?
Arts On Real, Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas where we’ve
had the pleasure to entertain to sold out crowds.
Anything new in the works?
Working on a feature length comedy entitled: BAD MOVIE.

Watch
the best in Austin Independent Films and Shorts in a comfortable
smoozy atmosphere which has drawn the attendance of local film
greats such as Greg Wolff (who aired both "Growing A Beard" and
"Shiner Texas" here) to the very supportive team at ASPYR,
and hundred of others. A great opportunity for relaxing, networking
and "working it." Films begin at 8 PM.... Networking
usually begins around 6:30. Cash bar.

Screen
Door is seeking quality short films to fill our 2005 programming
schedule. Please bring any short films that you would like to be
considered for theatrical exhibition to our frequent get-togethers
at the Gingerman.
Older short films are always welcome and there is never a charge
to submit a film. Mini-DV, DVD or VHS formats accepted. Films
can also be sent to the Screen Door offices at 919 West Lynn, Austin,
